Greetings,
Although I’m not normally one to follow the ins and outs of political races across the country, within about three days of the November election, I was seeing things that just didn’t seem quite right. I began doing some research and I found many many articles warning of potential problems in our election systems. These articles were from all manner of publishers including many that are most often considered reliable. I have now done hundreds of hours of reading on the subject. I’ll link to just a few of the articles that predate the election below.
Most of these articles warned of vulnerabilities in our electronic election equipment. I realized I had seen some of those articles when they were published and had the attitude that someone should do something about that. Nobody did. There were a good many articles that also told us about strange happenings in various elections across the county. Most of these were never resolved but when all of them were taken as a whole, I came to the conclusion that there have been significant regularities across the country since at least 2004. My opinions were solely based on the reading of news articles and it seemed to me that members of both parties had complained about irregularities.
Today, the media paints a much different picture, but doesn’t give us any evidence as to why their opinions should change. That’s a bit strange don’t you think?
As time went on more and more data analyst became involved in looking into the irregularities and came to conclusions based on data they had interpreted that were similar to mine.
As more time and research has been done, I’m convinced that the problems go back much further than the early 2000’s. What’s more, we have taken what should be a simple procedure and turned it into one that neither the politicians nor most of the people fully understand. I have already written each of you on this subject and I will again.
This is being sent to all of my elected representatives at every level and to most all state representatives. My expectation is that you will not only support, but will advocate to rip the lid off of our election systems and leaving no stone unturned see what if any problems are there. I expect audits to be done that include but are not limited to:
A review of the voter roles with a neighborhood canvass to examine anomalies; a complete examination of the software installed in any piece of voting equipment; A complete examination of all county and precinct router data – yes, something is going through routers or the poll books wouldn’t work and if there is nothing there it's time to prove it; a detailed forensic examination of the ballots themselves; and an examination of all chain of custody documents.
In Texas, Steve Toths audit bill (HB241) seems to be the most developed way to get there, but I expect all of my representatives at every level to work on making this a reality by any means possible as quickly as possible. Adding HB241 as an amendment to SB1 might be a worthy idea. However it’s done we are now going to “do something about that”.
Regards,
XXXXXX
Links follow. Yup there’s a lot of them. All of them from before the election warning of potential issues.
